Identifies gonadotroph cells in anterior pituitary and used in the subclassification of pituitary adenomas. Best used as a part of a panel of markers for pituiatry hormones (e.g. thryoid stimulating hormone, follicle stimulating hormone, leuteinizing hormone, prolactin, adrenocorticotropin hormone, and growth hormone).
