CD43

Formalin-fixed, paraffin embedded tissue block or cell block, or 1 unstained charged slide for each test requested plus 3-4 additional unstained slides cut at 4 microns. Adequate space on each slide for control tissue is required.

CD43 is expressed on the cell membrane of T-lymphoctyes and cells of myeloid origin. It is also found in monocytes and macrophages but it is not present in mature or activated B cells. Co-expression of CD43 and CD20 is a feature of a subset of B-cell lymphoma.
