Xiaotun Zhang, MD, MS

Dr. Xiaotun Zhang is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and has subspecialty experience in Genitourinary Pathology.

Dr. Zhang completed residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, where she served as Chief Resident.  She also completed a Genitourinary Pathology fellowship from the University of Washington in Seattle.

Prior to pursuing a career in the United States, Dr. Zhang attended medical school at Weifang Medical University in China and subsequently completed M.S. in pathology at Qingdao University College of Medical Science where she also completed pathology residency training.

Dr. Zhang has extensive research experience in the field of pathology. She has co-authored more than 40 peer-reviewed articles in publications such as Nature Medicine, International Journal of Surgical Pathology, Endocrine Pathology, and Clinical Cancer Research. She is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences, including the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology and the College of American Pathologists, and has won numerous awards including the Stowell-Orbison Certificate of Merit and International Society of Urologic Pathology Stipend Award.
