William Simonson, MD, PhD

Dr. William Simonson is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Hematopathology. Dr. Simonson currently serves as Medical Director of Covington Medical Center, Tacoma General Core Laboratories and Good Samaritan Hospital.

He attended medical school at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, where he also completed a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology. Dr. Simonson completed residency training in combined Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Washington Medical Center and Affiliated Hospitals, where he was Chief Resident, and where he also was fellowship trained in Hematopathology.

Dr. Simonson has co-authored articles in publications such as the American Journal of Clinical PathologyJournal of Clinical Oncology, Journal of Immunology, Journal of Clinical Neuromuscular Disease, Cancer Immunology Research, and Diagnostic Histopathology.
