Dr. Weihua Song is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and has subspecialty experience in Gastrointestinal and Liver Pathology, and Oncologic Surgical Pathology.

She attended medical school at Harbin Medical University in Heilongjiang, China, where she also got a Master’s degree. Dr. Song also has a PhD in Pharmacology from Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology from Staten Island University Hospital of Northwell Health System where she served as Chief Resident and was a member of the resident wellness and quality control committees. Dr. Song completed fellowship training in Oncologic Surgical Pathology from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York and in Gastrointestinal/Liver Pathology from Johns Hopkins University and was the recipient of the John K. Boitnott Liver Pathology Fellowship.

Dr. Song received many honors throughout her medical training. She has co-authored numerous articles that have been published in publications such as the Journal of Molecular Diagnostics, Cell Research, and the Journal of Biological Chemistry. She has also presented at various conferences, including the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, the College of American Pathologists, AMP Global, the American Society for Clinical Pathology and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
