Sarah Rooney, MD

Dr. Sarah Rooney is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and has subspecialty experience in Breast and Gynecologic Pathology. She is currently Medical Director of multiple MultiCare system facilities, including Allenmore Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital Emergency and Tacoma General Transfusion Services.

She attended medical school at the University of California, Irvine and completed her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Michigan, where she was Chief Resident and served on the Advisory Council for Patient and Family Centered Pathology Care. She is also fellowship trained in Breast and Gynecologic Pathology at the University of Washington.

Dr. Rooney has co-authored articles in publications such as the Archives of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine and The Breast Journal, as well as abstracts for the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathologists and the American Society of Clinical Pathology.
