Eric D. Nguyen, MD, PhD
|Dr. Eric Nguyen is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and has subspecialty experience in Gastrointestinal and Hepatobiliary Pathology.
After earning his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, he completed his medical degree at the University of Colorado, where he received numerous honors, including the Sara D. Winter, MD Award, recognizing him for his academic achievement with outstanding commitment to medicine, fellow students and society, as well as the Medical Scientist Training Program’s Excellence in Service Award. Dr. Nguyen completed both residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and fellowship training in Gastrointestinal and Hepatobiliary Pathology at the University of California San Francisco.
Dr. Nguyen worked as a research assistant following his undergraduate education at the University of Washington, where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology, as well as Computer Science, and a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Philosophy.
Dr. Nguyen has presented at various conferences, including the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology. He has co-authored articles in publications such as Histopathology, Nature, eLife, The Journal of Applied Laboratory Medicine, and JAMA Neurology.
