Debra L. Callahan, MD

Dr. Debra Callahan is board certified in Clinical Pathology and Transfusion Medicine and Blood Banking. 

Dr. Callahan completed her medical degree at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and The Ohio State University Medical Center. She completed a Fellowship in Transfusion Medicine and Blood Banking at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. 

Dr. Callahan has experience in private practice and academic centers. She has served as Medical Director at regional hospitals and blood centers including PeaceHealth, EvergreenHealth Medical Center, Medical University of South Carolina, and Vanderbilt Medical Center as well as appointments with the American Red Cross and BloodSource.  

Dr. Callahan is also a dedicated educator, currently serving as an Associate Professor of Pathology at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences. Before completing her medical training, she also served as an Assistant Professor at the Undergraduate level at Wilberforce University and Clark State Community College. She has been a Continuing Medical Education and Continuing Education lecturer for Kaiser Permanente, the American Red Cross, PeaceHealth, and others.
