Dr. Aashiyana Koreishi to Speak at AAPA 46th Annual Conference on Mediastinal Masses 11/4
CellNetix Hematopathologist, Dr. Aashiyana Koreishi, will present “Marvelous Mediastinal Masses: From the Mundane to the Magnificent” at the American Association of Pathologists’ Assistants’ 46th Annual Conference on Thursday, November 4 from 12-1 pm, a hybrid event that can be attended virtually or in-person at The Westin Seattle Hotel. She will provide an overview of the anatomy of the mediastinum, common differential diagnoses of mediastinal tumors based on the anatomic location, present case examples to review the gross and microscopic pathology of mediastinal tumors, and discuss the approach to mediastinal masses with a focus on orientation and sampling for appropriate staging.
Dr. Koreishi is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Hematopathology. She completed her pathology residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, followed by a hematopathology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering, and a general surgical pathology fellowship at the University of Washington Medical Center. Dr. Koreishi is passionate about pathology and is excited to share insights into the pathology of mediastinal masses.
