Jason Molnar and Katie Graves Trenbeath Present at 2025 National Society of Histotechnology Convention
Jason Molnar, CellNetix Director of Pathology Technical Services, and Katie Graves Trenbeath, Histology Manager, presented at the 2025 National Society for Histotechnology Convention that was held September 26-30, in Long Beach, CA. They co-presented on the following topic:
- Laboratory Workflow Planning on Saturday, September 27, from 1:45 PM – 2:45 PM, where they discussed ways to achieve a balance of competing objectives through excellence in workflow planning, understanding the needs of the “customer” qualitative and quantitative techniques, followed by review of a dedicated change management process. Lastly, they provided best practices and tips to help sustain improvements over time.
Additionally, Molnar presented on the following topics:
- IHC Validations on Sunday, September 28, from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, where he demonstrated the importance of analytical validation and review the intent behind the validation process, including reviewing the regulatory requirements as delineated by the College of American Pathologists and current best practices to help improve and standardize your lab’s validation process.
- Deciphering The CAP Checklist on Monday, September 29, from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, virtually, and Tuesday, September 30, from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM, in person, shed light on the role of the CAP in accreditation and focused on the assurance of high-quality laboratory results through the checklist standards. He also reviewed how these standards are created and applied in the lab, and how compliance with these standards will impact how you manage your laboratory.
