Ellen S. Pizer, M.D., Ph.D.
After graduating magna cum laude in Biology from Harvard University, Dr. Pizer obtained her Medical Degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She went on to earn her Graduate Ph.D. by completing the Medical Scientist Training program at the same institute. Dr. Pizer then began her tenure at the Johns Hopkins institutions completing her internship, residency, and a two-year fellowship in Gynecological Pathology and Molecular Pathology. Dr.

Our two fellowship trained sub-specialists in Gynecologic Pathology provide a broad range of services to physicians and their patients, including diagnosis and staging for patients undergoing surgical treatment of gynecologic cancers, diagnosis of cervical biopsies and correlation with previous pathology and Pap tests, HPV DNA testing, pathologic diagnosis for patients with benign diseases of the genital tract, and pathologic examination of placentas. Our Gynecologic Pathology sub-specialty is led by Dr. Ellen Pizer, and Dr. Christina Isacson.
