Joseph P. Rank, MD

Dr. Rank is board certified in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology and has subspecialty expertise in Gastrointestinal Pathology, Hepatobiliary Pathology, and Pancreatic Pathology. Dr. Rank attended medical school at the University of Washington in Seattle. He completed a residency in Anatomic Pathology and Laboratory Medicine from the University of Washington, following an internship year in Laboratory Medicine at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. Following residency, he continued at the University of Washington in a one-year fellowship in Gastrointestinal Pathology under the direction of Drs. Rodger Haggitt, Mary Bronner, and Cyrus Rubin and moved to UCLA for his second year of fellowship training with Dr. Klaus Lewin. In 1999, after two years private practice in Nevada, Dr. Rank joined the pathology group at Swedish Medical Center that became CellNetix Pathology.

Dr. Rank has participated on committees with the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) and in the College of American Pathologists (CAP) Laboratory Accreditation Program. He is on the executive committee and was past president of the Washington State Society of Pathologists.
