As a member of one of the NCI Thyroid FNA State of the Science Committees, Dr. Sturgis is uniquely qualified to deliver the FNA lecture on May 22nd. He has authored peer reviewed papers on the topic of thyroid FNA and has extensive experience and subspecialty expertise as a Cytopathologist. Dr. Sturgis obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and in Cytopathology. He was fellowship trained in Cytopathology at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Prior to joining CellNetix Pathology & Laboratories, Dr. Sturgis was Director of Cytopathology at Evanston Northwestern Healthcare, and was Assistant Professor of Pathology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. |
