Commentary/Medical Interests:
Dr. Rank completed pathology residency training at the University of Washington including a year of surgical pathology at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA. Following residency, he continued at the University of Washington in a one-year fellowship in Gastrointestinal Pathology under the direction of Drs. Rodger Haggitt, Mary Bronner, and Cyrus Rubin. After a second fellowship year in Gastrointestinal Pathology at UCLA and two years of private practice in Nevada, Dr. Rank joined our pathology group in 1999. Dr. Rank has volunteered with the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Histotechnology Examination Committee and Pathology Assistant Examination Committee. He is also working with the College of American Pathologists Laboratory Accreditation Program and the Washington State Society of Pathologists. He has also been spotted playing trombone in the Seattle Central Jazz Orchestra and occasionally cooking at BBQ competitions in the Pacific Northwest. |
